“This study is a critical step and will show if doses from different vaccines are safe, tolerable, and sufficiently boost the immune system enough to fight off reinfection by SAR-CoV-2 and variants,” says Ann Falsey, a professor of medicine and infectious diseases and codirector of the Medical Center’s Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit. Falsey is leading the Rochester site of study with Angela Branche, an assistant professor of medicine and codirector of the Vaccine Trials and Evaluation Unit, and David Dobrzynski, an assistant professor of medicine.

University flags will be lowered Tuesday, June 15, for Bryan Gopaul, an assistant professor at the Warner School of Education, who died on May 13. Gopaul joined the University faculty in 2014.
