An international team of researchers has developed a new method to deliver drugs into the inner ear by employing a little-understood backdoor into the cochlea. “This new delivery route into the ear may not only serve the advancement of auditory research but also prove useful when translated to humans with progressive genetic-mediated hearing loss,” says Maiken Nedergaard, the study’s senior author and a professor of neurology and codirector of the Center for Translational Neuromedicine.

New functionality in Workday Expense for airfare and AmEx corporate card transactions
New functionality is coming to Workday Expense for airfare and AmEx corporate card transactions
Starting July 11, airfare reservations made with the University’s travel agents Deprez and Town & County Travel will be available in Workday for inclusion on expense reports. As always, airfare reservations made with a spend authorization number are not reimbursed to the traveler. Starting August 1, American Express corporate card transactions will also be available in Workday for inclusion on expense reports. You may want to consider stopping the use of your corporate card for personal purchases knowing that all transactions will load into Workday. Personal transactions will need to be closed in Workday and should never be included in an expense report. Attend an upcoming expenses user group meeting for demos of the new functionality and the opportunity to ask questions. New reference guides are available for self-paced learners in the Expense Reports section.
