Retiree benefits webinar
The Office of Total Rewards will host a retiree benefits webinar on Wednesday, June 24, at noon to discuss what it means to be eligible for retiree benefits, health and dental insurance, Medicare, enrollment periods, and other benefits offered to you as a University retiree.
Family care benefits offered
As a University employee, you may have access to different family care benefits, including Care.com premium memberships, subsidized backup care, daycare tuition discounts, and the child care subsidy. Keep in mind only new hires or employees with a qualifying life event can apply for the child care subsidy outside the annual application window. Visit the Family Care website for details and how to enroll.
March with the University in Saturday’s Pride Parade
On Saturday, July 20, a group representing the University will be lining up at spot number 44 on Science Parkway (the street should be chalked with numbers) to march in the Rochester Pride Parade.
Line up between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. before the parade begins at 11 a.m. There is free parking on the River Campus with shuttles running from 9:15 a.m. until 6 p.m. from the Rush Rhees Library shuttle stop. The shuttle will run to the parade line-up area until 11 a.m. and then run from Highland Park (the end of the parade route and the festival location).
It’s free to take the shuttle and march in the parade, and registration is not required. If you didn’t order a shirt or forgot to pick one up, there will be a limited supply at the line-up spot.
Admission to the Pride Festival is $5 per person. Please note that if you purchase tickets online there is an additional $2.18 fee per ticket for a total cost of $7.18 per ticket. Children under 12 get in free.
Department of Psychiatry Summer Brown Bag Series continues
The Department of Psychiatry’s 2024 Summer Brown Bag Series continues on Wednesday, July 24, at noon in the Class of ’62 Auditorium (G-9425) with the discussion “Building a Place of Our Own: Creating a Safe Space with the AANPHI Affinity Group.” CEU and CMEs are available. Registration is also open for the August sessions of the Summer Brown Bag Series. Learn more about the speakers and register to attend in person or virtually.
