University leaders gathered yesterday to announce and celebrate a major strategic achievement: Wilmot Cancer Institute becoming a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center. The Food Pantry is dedicated to challenging the rising issue of student food insecurity on campus by supporting and serving all students and postdocs at the University. The current hours of the food pantry are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. Individuals can browse and choose non-perishable items during these hours in 105 Wilson Commons or pre-order a bag for pick up. 1098-T tuition tax statements for calendar year 2024
The Bursar’s Office shares that qualifying students may access their 2024 1098-T in UR Student by entering “My 1098-T” in the search bar and selecting the “View” or “Print” options. A QRC with detailed steps is available here. If you elected to receive a printed 1098-T, those forms were mailed in mid-January. Third-party proxies do not have access to 1098-Ts through their UR Student logins. 1098-Ts may only be accessed via your student login.

Bells and carillon audition information sessions
Do you want to play the bells atop Rush Rhees Library? The competitive audition process to join the two-credit carillon class begins on April 7. Attend an information session in Dewey Hall, Room 1-305, to learn more. Dates and times are:

Deadline extended for International Graduate Research Showcase posters
International graduate students are invited to apply for the first International Graduate Research Showcase, which provides an opportunity to present their research through poster sessions and win cash prizes to support their research. Part of the University’s first Global Week, highlighting global research efforts, and Graduate Student Appreciation Week, the event is sponsored by the International Services Office, the Office for Global Engagement, and the International Students and Scholars Association. The showcase will be held in Hirst Lounge in Wilson Commons on Monday, April 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. The deadline to apply as a poster presenter has been extended to March 24.
Four-week body acceptance program
The Body Project, a four-week evidence-based body acceptance program, is designed to help women challenge unrealistic appearance ideals. Through group discussions and interactive activities, participants will gain valuable insights into developing a healthier body image and self-esteem. Session dates are April 7, 14, 21, and 28, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Reifler Room on the second floor of UHS. Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions. The Body Project is free and open to all undergraduate and graduate students; attendees will get a free journal and pen. Registration required.

Match Day, when fourth-year medical students discover their residency placements, is on Friday, March 21, from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. The celebration will be held in person in the Class of ’62 Auditorium (G-9425), Medical Center, and virtually using this link. Lecture: ‘A Green Heart for Healthy Communities’

Archaeological Institute of America spring lecture at MAG
Mark Aldenderfer, a professor emeritus of anthropology at the University of California, Merced, presents “The Deep Prehistory of the Human Presence in the World’s High Mountains and Plateaus” at Memorial Art Gallery on Thursday, March 27, from 7 to 8 p.m. Registration is free but required.
