The ethics of AI mental health chatbots for kids

Most AI mental health apps are unregulated and designed for adults, but there’s a growing conversation about using them with children. Bryanna Moore, an assistant professor of health humanities and bioethics, and Jonathan Herington, an assistant professor of philosophy and of health humanities and bioethics, recommend a thoughtful approach to building, regulating, and using these apps as part of a broader mental health treatment plan.

In today’s issue:

  • Applications for a Teaching Center Course Development Fellowship
  • Spring mindfulness classes for students, faculty, and staff
  • Third annual Cultural Fair
