THINGS TO DO

Explore MAG, inside and out

Outside of the Memorial Art Gallery. Large letters spelling out MAG are on the front lawn.

Nestled in the Neighborhood of the Arts is Rochester’s own “Mini Met”: the Memorial Art Gallery—recently included as one of our 12 essential experiences at Rochester.

The museum houses more than 13,000 objects spanning 5,000 years of world history in its permanent collection, hosts events throughout the year, and features a sculpture garden and other public works of art across its grounds. Best of all, admission to MAG is free for students, faculty, staff, and retirees with a valid University ID.

Looking for weekend plans? Check out MAG’s annual “Art and Treasures Sale,” taking place today through Sunday. Learn more and find each day’s schedule here.
