University flags on the Eastman Quadrangle and near the entrance of Strong Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department will be lowered on Tuesday, June 17, for Margaret Rice, an outpatient access rep II in the Department of Imaging Sciences and Orthopaedics, who died on May 23. Rice joined the University staff in 1994.

Dependent tuition waiver
Do you have a dependent child who is eligible for tuition benefits at the University? Apply for the tuition waiver for the 2025–26 academic year. Boost your biking skills with “Wheels on Wednesday,” a monthly series of free, 15-minute online classes covering various cycling topics. “E-Bike Smart Tips”will be held via Zoom on June 18, from noon to 12:15 p.m. Learn about buying and riding an e-bike. Register for the Warner School’s annual Young Writers Camp
Register your child for the Warner School of Education and Human Development’s annual Young Writers Summer Camp, tailored to students in grades 6–12 who love to write and want to spend time with like-minded peers practicing different kinds of writing. The camp is held August 4–8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in LeChase Hall. A 10 percent discount applies for children and grandchildren of University employees and alumni, siblings of current students, and families with more than one child attending the camp. Register for camp by July 20.
