Open Enrollment begins October 27 |
Open Enrollment runs from October 27 to November 10. This is your once-a-year opportunity to review, update, or make changes to your 2026 benefits. Visit the Open Enrollment website to learn more about what’s new in 2026, and review the 2026 Open Enrollment Planning Steps and Checklist. For instructions on how to enroll in myURHR Workday, refer to the Open Enrollment QRC.

Explore opportunities at Career Pathways Showcase |
All employees are invited to the Career Pathways Showcase on Tuesday, October 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the north end room of Café 601 in the Medical Center. Career Pathways is a comprehensive journey through career development for full-time employees. Ask questions about high-demand positions, learn about program benefits (including free tuition), and start planning your next career move. Virtual sessions are also available.

URochester faculty are invited to Blackboard Ultra Information Day on October 30, designed to help you get the most out of Ultra courses. Whether you’re new to Ultra or looking to deepen your expertise, this day will offer practical sessions and insights into using Ultra effectively. It will also include the Online Teaching Symposium session, where faculty will share their experience with Ultra courses.

Annual Fine Craft Show and Sale at MAG this weekend |
The Memorial Art Gallery’s Fine Craft Show and Sale features one-of-a-kind, limited-edition work by master craft artists who regularly participate in the nation’s most prestigious shows. Attend on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There’s also an opening party on Friday, October 17, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Students can take a break from studying at Destress Fest on Thursday, October 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Welles-Brown Room, Rush Rhees Library. Enjoy relaxing music, tea and cocoa, crafts, and more.

Modern Languages and Cultures ‘Pizza and Professors’ party |
The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures hosts an event covering spring courses, majors, minors, clusters, and summer study abroad offerings on Friday, October 17, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served.
