@Rochester holiday break

We’re planning to put @Rochester on a brief hiatus at the end of the year. The last issue of 2025 is planned for Friday, December 19, and publication will resume on Monday, January 5.

We will again include a listing of holiday hours for non-clinical offices and services around the University in the Wednesday, December 17, issue of @Rochester; clinical offices should follow their standard policies for holidays. If you have an update you’d like to share, please send details to at-rochester@rochester.edu by noon on Tuesday, December 16, to be included.

For faculty and staff

VSP vision coverage reminder

If you enrolled in VSP for your routine vision coverage (“Benefit Extras” would be listed under pre-tax deductions on your paystub), don’t forget to take advantage of it during the calendar year. You don’t need a card to utilize your benefits. At your eye care appointment, provide your VSP ID number, which is 3 zeroes followed by your employee ID number.

What is a limited submission funding opportunity?

For limited submission funding opportunities, the sponsoring agency—whether federal, private, or foundation—limits the number of proposals it allows from an institution. Researchers interested in applying must submit an internal application. Find more information on the internal application process and current available limited submission opportunities. To receive notifications of these opportunities, contact Sharon Pomeroy with a request to be added to the VPR Funding Opportunities listserv.
