University flags on the Eastman Quadrangle and near the entrance of Strong Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department, and the flags atop the Eastman Theatre at the corner of Gibbs and Main Streets, will be lowered on Tuesday, February 17, for Elizabeth Northrop, a clinical secretary in the Health Information Management Department, who died on December 30. Northrop joined the University in 1989.

Your 2025 W-2 form (wage and tax statement) is now available online through myURHR. To view or print your W-2, log in to Workday, navigate to “Benefits & Pay Hub Overview,” and select “My Tax Documents.” Employees who did not consent to electronic delivery of their W-2 will receive a paper copy by mail on January 31.

The University’s annual performance evaluation process provides an opportunity for both managers and staff to give and receive feedback, evaluate progress over the last year, as well as set goals and establish timelines for the year ahead. This year, performance evaluations will launch for the entire University (including the Medical Center) on Saturday, February 1, and follow the same timeline, noted below. The process for completing and submitting evaluations in MyPath will remain the same as last year. Find resources to prepare for performance evaluations on the HR website.

University Libraries announces Love Data Month, a slate of workshops and events from Data Services celebrating the beauty of data. Sessions include sharing research outputs, ORCID, metadata and documentation, Python essentials, text analysis with Python, and creating 3D visualizations in XR.

An exhibit on the history of visualization will be held on February 18, with primary source materials spanning centuries. And, a Transatlantic Anti-Slavery Wiki Edit-a-thon will take place on February 13 with the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom to help celebrate Frederick Douglass Day.

Join the Memorial Art Gallery for Galentine’s Day on Friday, February 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.
to celebrate yourself, your friendships, and the artwork of the Impressionists. Find vendors from female-owned businesses, art-creating, music, mingling, mini art tours highlighting female artists, light fare, a cash bar, and more. Tickets are $15 and include museum admission.

Members of the University community can join the Buddhist meditation group via Zoom for weekly sessions on Fridays from noon to 1 p.m. starting on February 6.
