Fire drills in University buildings are conducted in accordance with New York State fire code requirements to ensure occupants are familiar with evacuation procedures and allow emergency systems and staff response to be evaluated under realistic conditions. To simulate real emergency conditions as closely as possible, drills are held at unannounced and varied times. While every effort is made to minimize disruption to campus operations, some interruption to classes or meetings is unavoidable. The deadline for submissions for the annual Ed and Barbara Hajim Art of Science Competition is Sunday, March 15. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit creative works that explore the intersection of art with science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and sustainability.
