Are you an inpatient provider supporting a patient who has disclosed intimate partner violence/domestic violence and is concerned for their safety? The HEAL Collaborative is now available to complete virtual petitions for orders of protection through Monroe County Family Court for patients currently admitted to the hospital who are experiencing intimate partner violence. The Pride Alliance, the University’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, hosts a happy hour gathering at FLORA, a new LGBTQ+ social space on Monroe Avenue in Rochester. Any URochester employee is welcome to attend the event, which takes on place May 21 at 5 p.m. Get more details here.

Pre-proposal applications are being accepted from June 1 to June 30 for the Technology Development Fund, which supports University researchers who wish to further the process of translating their research into commercial opportunities. Awards can range from $40,000 to $100,000 to support projects of approximately one year in duration.  Explore details and eligibility requirements.

On Wednesday, May 27, at 4 p.m., join Mary Ellen Burris ’68W (EdD), the Women’s Network, and the School of Medicine and Dentistry Women in Medicine for an evening of connection and learning in the new Mary Ellen Burris auditorium at the Saunders Center for Orthopaedics & Physical Performance. Faculty presentations will cover nutrition across different age groups, managing arthritis of the hand, and population health.

Members of the University community and their families are invited to march in the Rochester Pride parade on Saturday, July 18. Line-up starts at 9:45 a.m.; the parade begins at 11 a.m. This FAQ includes information about shuttles, parking, and shirts. The Department of Health Humanities and Bioethics hosts an open house on June 2 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in G-8011 on the Health Sciences Campus. The department offers a master’s program with both full-time and part-time options, as well as two advanced certificates typically held in the evening and designed for part-time study.
