Primary care appointments at UHSUniversity Health Service (UHS) is currently experiencing a primary care provider shortage, with students experiencing a longer than usual wait time for appointments. UHS is exploring options to remedy the shortage and appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding. Visit the UHS website for guidance and self-care options, or call (585) 275-2662 to speak with a nurse or after-hours on-call provider for urgent care issues. Students are also asked to cancel 24 hours in advance any scheduled appointments that are no longer necessary. UHS strives to provide high-quality care and refers students to Urgent Care and the Emergency Department for their health and safety.
Voter registration deadlines approaching for US electionVoting in the upcoming US election is an important responsibility for students who are eligible to do so; it allows you to voice your opinions and select representatives to lead systemic change at all levels of government. Students must register to vote either at their campus or home addresses. You can find information about how to do so at the University’s TurboVote website. Once registered, you either need to cast your ballot in person (which may require traveling to an off-campus polling site), or request a mail-in ballot, which you can do through the TurboVote portal. Additional guidance about voting is available on the Center for Community Engagement website.
