Final fall meal plan change period

This is the last opportunity to change your meal plan for the fall semester. Changes will be accepted September 8–14 through the Eastman School change form and the River Campus change form. The links will be live on Monday, September 8. Email mealplans@services.rochester.edu with questions.

Course-related dates, deadlines, and forms

The Center for Advising Services and the Eastman Office of Academic Affairs share the following notable dates and deadlines:

  • September 6–22: Instructor permission is required to add a course, including independent study and independent research
  • September 22: Last day to drop a course

To add coursework, you should complete a drop/add form and follow these instructions. Instructor permission should be submitted via email with the drop/add form to registrar@rochester.edu. Instructor permission is not required when a student drops a class.

Hajim School students need the approval of their undergraduate coordinator for all schedule changes. Students in the School of Arts & Sciences should communicate with their college advisor about any proposed changes to their schedule. Eastman School students should submit the Eastman add/drop/withdraw form for any course changes with appropriate documented permission from instructors, if needed. All undergraduate students must remain enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits to retain their full-time status. Students should consult the 2025–26 academic calendar for academic deadlines.

Individual travel waiver

Undergraduate students in the School of Arts & Sciences and the Hajim School must have a completed and approved 2025–26 individual travel waiver to participate in student organization activities more than 50 miles off campus. Eastman School students who participate in these events with students from the River Campus must also complete a waiver. Waivers must be submitted each academic year. All waivers completed by September 15 will be entered into a drawing for one of ten limited edition Community Weekend sweatshirts.
