Travel information for F-1 and J-1 studentsUR Essentials rental books due December 17Rental textbooks must be returned or purchased by December 17. Please bring your rental books to the Barnes & Noble URochester bookstore in College Town, open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some digital materials will only be available through December 17, after which they may no longer be accessible. For additional details, refer to recent emails from the bookstore.
If you’d like to keep your rented print textbooks, you may choose to buy them out. Barnes & Noble has sent an email with information about buying your rented items; the communication includes links to do so electronically, but you can also buy out your rentals at the store location. Rental books can be purchased electronically anytime up until the due date. Please note: Students will be responsible for charges associated with unreturned books.
Winter break resources and remindersStudents planning to stay on campus for winter break can find information about dining, activities, hours of operation, and more on the winter break website. The website will continue to be updated as offices publish hours and information, so make sure to check back regularly. You can browse a variety of on-campus activities through the winter activities website, which will also be updated regularly as events are added. To receive weekly email updates throughout the break, sign up for the Winter Highlights newsletter. Remember that you must register in StarRez by Monday, December 8, if you plan to remain on campus for all or part of winter break, December 18 through January 15.
