FUND-A-NEED – NOTES –

Your generosity to this year’s Fund-A-Need will support
the multi-faceted approach in which the University
excels and that Alzheimer’s requires. Specifically you
will help fund:
• A multi-disciplinary team that partners with
caregivers, like Brian, to give them the education,
support, and care they need as Alzheimer’s
complications ravage their loved ones;
• A first-of-its-kind mobile app to help people reduce
their risk of getting the disease;
• Pilot studies to better understand how the disease
forms, and better diagnose and treat it;

• A tissue bank that is linked to imaging and clinical
testing data to move dementia research from the
lab to the clinic to help patients;

• State-of-the-art equipment and software to
increase the speed of research analyses; and
• A pilot project in medical procedure safety for the
aging brain.
