Savor creative, next-level fusion cuisine paired with extraordinary Grand Cru and First Growth French wines when Next Door by Wegmans hosts this spectacular and truly memorable culinary evening.

The elegant, private Test Kitchen at Next Door by Wegmans will be the site of this fabulous feast. The Next Door culinary team will create a sublime menu that combines contemporary Japanese cuisine with distinctive French accents.

Every course will be paired with one or more classic French wines. Brad Papietro and John McMahon will draw on their extensive knowledge of all French wines to select superb bottles—nearly all of them “best of the best” First Growths and Grand Crus—to complement the menu. Flutes of Pommery Apanage Brut Champagne lead off the evening in sparkling style. A 2023 Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Burgundy (white) and a rare 2014 Chevaliers de L’Arquebuse Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru (red) will accompany the first two courses. The following two courses will be matched with two exceptional Bordeaux First Growths: 1986 Château Margaux (Margaux) and 1995 Château Latour (Pauillac). And for a sweet finale, the most famous dessert wine in the world: 1986 Château d’Yquem (Sauternes).

The Next Door First Growth/Grand Cru Dinner is scheduled for Friday, April 16, 2027. Seats will be sold individually at $3,250. Only 30 seats are available.
