Chateau Calon-Ségur is situated at the northern end of St. Estéphe, making it one of the coolest vineyard sites in all of Bordeaux. This Third Growth is known for classic, structured wines and the 1995 Chateau Calon-Ségur definitely fits that description. A classic “old school” Bordeaux, it showcases deep plum and cassis fruit along with cigar box notes. The 1995 Calon-Ségur originally received a score of 95 from The Wine Advocate and is now regarded among the estate’s finest vintages. This rare full case of 12 bottles has been impeccably cellared and is presented in its original branded wood box (with slight splintering to one corner of the top).

Generously donated by Dr. Peter Knight, Division Chief of Cardiac Surgery, and his wife, Victoria. Proceeds from tonight’s auction support the historic expansion of Strong Memorial Hospital, including a nine-story patient pavilion that will feature a new space for advanced cardiovascular treatments and future operating suites where Dr. Knight and his team will deliver life-saving care.
