Lot 103 – Twenty-One Bottles – A Flock of Hawkes Cabernet Sauvignon
Donated By: Dr. John DeAngelis and Dr. Mary Barrett
Estimated Value: $2,600

The Hawkes family has been growing grapes in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley for more than forty years. Today it farms approximately 85 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay on three Alexander Valley ranches, and produces a range of limited-production, estate-grown Hawkes Wine sold exclusively through its Healdsburg tasting room and its mailing list.
This remarkable vertical AND horizontal Hawkes Wine Cabernet Sauvignon collection encompasses all three of its Alexander Valley vineyard estates. Included are bottles from 2016-2022 Hawkes Wine Red Winery Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2016-2022 Hawkes Wine Stone Vineyard Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 2016-2022 Hawkes Wine Pyramid Vineyard Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Each vertical highlights the unique character of its vineyard; Red Winery’s freshness and elegance, Stone Vineyard’s depth and complexity and Pyramid Vineyard’s power and structure.
This lot was donated by Dr. John DeAngelis, a Strong Memorial Hospital Emergency Department doctor, and his wife, Dr. Mary Barrett.
