While Hermès, Paris is synonymous with fabulous fashion—from handbags and jewelry to watches and perfume—silk is where the company’s fashion focus began. Today Hermès silk scarves and pocket squares remain the standard of the industry, combining art, craft and cultural history. Two Hermès silk masterpieces are offered here.

The Les Chevaux Dechaines 90 scarf showcases the gentle sheen of silk twill and the elegance of hand-rolled edges. Designed by Octave Marsal, the scarf’s symmetrical silhouette of two prancing horses are composed of a succession of buckles, chains, stirrups and straps inspired by Émile Hermès’ illustrated catalogs. Dimensions are approximately 34.8 X 34.8 inches.

The Mobilite Douce Pocket Square 45 also combines the beauty of silk and the elegance of hand-rolled edges. Designed by Philippe Mouquet, the pocket square’s whimsical portrayal of animals on various modes of transportation is a charmer. Dimensions are approximately 16.5 X 16.5 inches.
