New Palestra Floor Unveiled

COURT TIME: Coach Linda Downey and the women’s volleyball team will be the first to use the new court when they open their season this fall.

The Yellowjacket men and women will take to a newly refurbished floor when they line up at the Palestra this fall. The floor has been completely resurfaced and several design elements have been changed to give it a brighter and more vibrant look.

Among the changes: The new floor no longer has a solid blue inside the three-point line, the words University of Rochester have been painted on each side of the court, facing the stands, and the logo for the University Athletic Association, which used to sit at midcourt, is now inside the foul circle.
