Spidey Sensibilities: “There’s a little Spider-Man in all of us,” noted Jamal Rossi, the Joan and Martin Messinger Dean of the Eastman School of Music, as he urged Eastman’s graduates to challenge themselves as artists and members of their communities. The reference struck a chord with Eastman students because parts of the movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were filmed along East Main Street and used the facades of Eastman Theatre and the Eastman East Wing as backdrops.
