Learn about the AI Research Committee at the University of Rochester, whose University-wide representation ensures that AI guidelines and resources are relevant and actionable for the entire University research community.
The AI in Research Committee is part of the larger AI Council, and a sub-committee of the Faculty Senate.
The committee’s goal is to take into consideration existing policies, policies of peer organizations, as well as federal requirements and guidelines while ensuring ease and consistency of application of the guidelines.
Established at the charge of the Research Executive Committee, the AI in Research Committee works with faculty and other campus partners to create guidelines along with guiding principles for the University of Rochester research community on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLM) in research.
