Carson Co-authors Article

Jeff Choppin and Cynthia Carson coauthored the article “Characteristics of Mathematics Coaches’ Suggestions to Teachers” in Mathematical Thinking and Learning. The article presents an analytic framework for examining 712 suggestions made by coaches to math teachers during content-focused coaching cycles. The results reveal that most suggestions were specific, centered on task design and student thinking, and closely tied to mathematical goals and representations.
