Megan Bennett-Spears serves as the Program Manager in the Office for Global Engagement. Serving under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Director of Global Affairs and Engagement. Megan manages the Global Visitor Program for Visiting Students and Scholars; the University’s central program to facilitate the development of key research and academic collaborations for schools and faculty. Her additional responsibilities include: managing the Global Engagement relations management system, social media outlets, website development, and providing support for Global programs and partnerships. Megan acts as the Global representative for on-campus committees, including International Education Week and International Round Table. She is also a member of Emerging Leaders at UR.
Megan is committed to strengthening the University’s international relationships. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and is currently pursuing her masters in Higher Education Administration at the Warner School of Education. Her background in corporate retail buying and non-profit management has positioned her to have a unique skill set specializing in program and project management, communication strategies, and relationship development.
