International Travel Registry
When and how do I register my travel?
If you’re traveling internationally on University-sponsored or supported travel, you should register well in advance of your departure.
How to register by audience
Students going for education abroad will register in the Education Abroad Portal as part of their program plans.
Students going abroad for University-sponsored or supported travel that isn’t part of an education abroad program can register via the web form on the Center for Education Abroad website.
Faculty and staff can register their University-sponsored or supported international travel through the Travel Registry Portal.
Education abroad program leaders or organizers should contact the Center for Education Abroad to have your program reviewed if you haven’t already done so. From there, you can register your travel on the Travel Registry Portal.
If you’re registering someone else’s travel through proxy registration, use our Proxy Travel Registration Form.

Review registration confirmation email
Review the confirmation email you received and complete any additional recommended actions.
- Registration sends automatic emails, and we program certain destinations like high-risk locations to send out additional recommendations.
Embassy registration
After registering your travel with the University, we strongly encourage you to register with the embassy of your country of citizenship:
- US citizens: Use the State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).
