Backup Policy
We will have 30 days of data available for restore. The system is intended for backup and recovery only and does not provide a solution for any archival needs.
The current policy provides weekly full server backups with daily differential backups. This scheme could provide the availability of 4 full backups for restoration.
Scheduling will be developed as servers are added to the schedule. Full server backups will be staggered across a week period for load balancing.
The start window for backups, with some exceptions, is currently 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Server administrators should review this policy to see if a more or less stringent timeframe is required.
