Class of 2024

School of Nursing

The University of Rochester School of Nursing’s spring graduation ceremony honors the achievements of nursing graduates at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral level as they go on to shape the future of health care, and recognizes annual student and faculty award winners. Celebrate with us on Friday, May 17, at 5 p.m. in Kodak Hall, located in Eastman Theatre.

Nursing students are also invited to join the University in celebrating the 174th Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 17 at 9 a.m., kicking off a weekend of celebrations and memorable events through Sunday, May 19. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!

What to Expect: Arrival & Check-In

All graduates should arrive at the Eastman Theatre (via the Oval Lobby Entrance on Gibbs Street) by 4:15 p.m. Please come with your regalia already on – leave your personal belongings with your family as there is nowhere to store these items. If you are a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, please wear your cords – these are worn over your hood. Guests will be allowed entry into the theatre beginning at 4:15 p.m. through the main entrance. Please remember there is a ceremony before ours and parking may be an issue so please give yourselves plenty of time to park.

Each graduate must check-in at the registration table in Lowry Hall and will be issued a name card. This card will have your name, including a phonetic pronunciation of your name (if you provided that when registering online). In addition, you may also be given an extra card if you are the first person alphabetically in your program, i.e. CNL, LHCS, etc. This extra card will be given to the reader so they are aware that a new group is beginning and they can properly announce that program. Also, students who have been notified they are receiving an award will be given an additional card with that information on it and the reader will announce that as well.

How to Access My Graduation Photos

To receive a gallery with your photographs, you will need to pre-register. When you visit this link, it will ask you to upload a selfie. Take a selfie in nice, even light with just your face visible. The software uses facial recognition to send you only your photos in the gallery. As soon as the photos are uploaded, you’ll be notified. It will usually take a few days for the photos to be processed.

Other photos from the ceremony can be seen on the School of Nursing’s website.
