Is an overnight hospital stay necessary for breast cancer surgery?
A recent study from the Medical Center and Wilmot Cancer Institute shows that women ages 65 and older—including women in their 90s—can safely leave the hospital on the same day as having a mastectomy for breast cancer and are unlikely to suffer post-surgical complications. Explore the research here.
Undergraduate students in the School of Arts & Sciences and the Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences must have a completed and approved 2025–26 Individual Travel Waiver to participate in student organization activities more than 50 miles off campus. Explore the Medallion Leadership Program
The Medallion Program is the University’s cocurricular leadership program. Based on the Social Change Model of Leadership, student leader domains from the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education, and the College Leadership Competency, this self-paced program aims to help you develop into change agents in the world. Students participate in workshops, take on leadership roles, and identify a community need to address. Once all three levels are completed, students are invited to join the Medallion Leadership Society, where they can facilitate workshops on their own, help create a new workshop, and engage with University deans on their projects. Check out this video to learn about student experiences and enroll today.
