Lunar rock samples from the south pole will help scientists better understand the history of the moon and how that played a role in Earth’s formation, said Miki Nakajima, an assistant professor of earth and environmental sciences and of physics and astronomy. “The Apollo mission was really amazing, and we are still benefiting from it,” she said. “But it was not perfect. By understanding the moon much better, we can understand the Earth.”
The Eastman Wellness Fair is an inaugural program offered by the UHS Health Promotion Office on Friday, September 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Miller Center at the Eastman School of Music. The fair brings together campus resources, student groups, and Rochester community organizations to educate on wellness practices and resources for Eastman School students.
