Kick off the academic year with Yellowjacket Weekend
Yellowjacket Weekend, the first community weekend and one of the first Rochester Traditions of the academic year, takes place Wednesday, August 28, through Monday, September 2. Rochester will be alive with fun activities to celebrate the beginning of the semester. Yellowjacket Weekend includes the Activities Fair, Drag Bingo with Darienne Lake, and a back-to-school BBQ. You’ll also find giveaways, poster sales, movie nights, and athletic events.
Future Faculty workshops
Designed collaboratively by faculty from each of the University’s schools, the Future Faculty workshop series aims to prepare future faculty and to give graduates an edge in the academic marketplace. Register here for upcoming sessions.

Understanding the Faculty Role, Part II: Transitioning from Grad Student to Faculty: Wednesday, October 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Virtual workshop.
There are a few training sessions still available for academic advisors, faculty, program coordinators, and administrators working with students who may express the need or want to take a leave of absence or withdraw from the University. Register for a training session here.
Department of Psychiatry Summer Brown Bag Series ends tomorrow
The final session in the Department of Psychiatry’s Summer Brown Bag Series will take place Wednesday, August 28, in the Class of ’62 Auditorium (G-9425) with “Navigating Deaf/Hearing Cultural Conflicts for Inclusive Spaces and Psychological Safety.” CEU and CMEs are available.
