A reminder that the spring 2025 semester is the first term to feature Rochester Monday, which will occur on the first Friday of the semester. That means on Friday, January 24, University faculty will teach their Monday classes, so students should attend their regularly scheduled Monday classes that day.
Please note that the School of Medicine and Dentistry (MD only), the School of Nursing, and the Warner School of Education will not participate in the Rochester Monday, so students attending those schools should attend their regular Friday Classes.
The introduction of Rochester Monday is part of an update to the academic calendar that better aligns holidays and other events across University schools throughout the year.
For more information, the University Academic Calendar is available online. There will not be a make-up day for the Friday classes that fall on Rochester Monday. There is simply one less Friday in the term than the other days of the week.
