Join Wilson Commons Student Activities on Saturday, July 12, in exploring the Rochester Public Market. Shuttles will loop from the front of Rush Rhees Library every 40 minutes starting at 10 a.m. The last shuttle back to campus will leave the market at 1:40 p.m. to return by 2 p.m. Register on CCC to attend. Open to all undergraduate students.
Learning Center summer services
The Learning Center is open this summer to help optimize your learning and coursework. In-person and virtual tutoring appointments for biology, chemistry, math, and more can be booked online. You can also email, call, or stop by the Learning Center to schedule an Academic Coaching session. The center is located on the first floor of Dewey Hall, which is under construction for the summer. Enter through the door on the back of Dewey Hall (across from Hoyt Hall, by the cherry blossom trees) and follow the signs. Find more information on services and the summer entrance here.
University employees have access to two convenient and evidence-based mental health services provided through Well-U, your employee wellness program. UR Medicine EAP at (585) 276-9110 offers employees and members of their household sessions for a variety of personal and work-related challenges. Eligible employees can access Behavioral Health Partners at (585) 276-6900 for therapy and medication management for anxiety, depression, stress, and ADHD. Call to make your first appointment.
Attend a “Mindful MAGic” yoga and sound session inspired by Bill Viola’s Martyrs video installation situated prominently in the Memorial Art Gallery’s Fountain Court. Learn more and register to attend on Saturday, July 26, from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m.
Soundtrax Film Music Festival speakers and programs
Featured guests, innovative programs, and film-focused concerts have been announced for the Soundtrax Film Music Festival, the first film music festival in North America, taking place October 16–18. Department of Public Safety earns IACLEA reaccreditation
The Department of Public Safety has earned reaccreditation from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators, the largest professional association focused on excellence in campus public safety and law enforcement. With fewer than 100 agencies holding this accreditation, this notable achievement reflects the department’s dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards.
