Free Face Mask for First-Year and Transfer StudentsThank You, Students: Full Compliance Achieved in Vaccination Confirmation ProcessIn April, the University announced the requirement for all students to upload proof of their COVID-19 vaccination, or file a request for a medical or religious exemption to the vaccine. Today, records show that every single full-time student—roughly 11,850 total—has complied with this requirement, according to the University Registrar’s Office.
“Tremendous credit goes out to every member of our student body for following through on this task, as well as to the dedicated staff at University Health Service who managed both vaccine verifications and the granting of individual exemptions, to the University’s Registrar’s Office, and to all of the University departments that provided substantial contributions to the success of this project,” says University Interim Provost Sarah Peyre. “I am extremely happy that every student was able to comply with this policy and we collectively are doing our part to keep our campuses safe.”
MERT Evaluation Looks at Ways To Grow, Strengthen OperationsThe Medical Emergency Response Team, a River Campus student organization in place since 1972, has paused its responses to calls while it undergoes evaluation. During this evaluation, the team’s active responses to student calls are being paused, but all other group activities will continue, including the training that its members undertake to be medically certified responders.
