Guidelines created for use of AI in teaching and learningThe education subcommittee of the University’s AI Council recently released new guidelines for the use of generative AI in teaching and learning. The guidelines recognize the “rapidly evolving landscape of generative artificial intelligence” and provide guidance on several issues, including student learning, privacy protection, policy development, and academic honesty, among others. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to review the guidelines and be familiar with the requirements and best practices for the use of AI in coursework and instruction. More information is available on the Artificial Intelligence at Rochester website.
