Updates, support, and resources for international studentsThe University is committed to helping students navigate the uncertainty caused by the new immigration enforcement, working to help provide resources to affected individuals and those who are anxious about their immigration status. The FAQs regarding US Immigration (ICE) Enforcement offer advice should a federal law enforcement agency contact a student regarding the enforcement of immigration laws. While this guidance is not a substitute for legal advice, the University hopes it will be valuable to many in the community. If a student is presented with a warrant by an immigration official while on University property or in connection with their University work, they should contact the Department of Public Safety (DPS) immediately at (585) 275-3333 so that the appropriate University official may review the warrant and advise on the appropriate response to the document. The student should inform the officer that they are not obstructing the officer’s process but need to contact DPS for assistance.
