Frequently asked questions

Day of Giving

Day of Giving and you

What is the Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is an online fundraising event taking place on April 19, 2023. For 24 hours, University of Rochester alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff, grateful patients, and friends come together virtually and show their support for the areas of the University and Medical Center that are meaningful to them. The University and Medical Center are grateful for gifts of any amount on this day.

Where does my gift go and where do challenge funds go?

One hundred percent of your gift goes directly where you designate it: the school, program or giving area of your choice across the University and Medical Center. On this momentous day, special challenges will help your gift make an even greater impact. The programs and schools that have donor-led challenges will receive bonus funds that will directly support their annual needs.
