Keeping Patient Needs in Sight
The David and Ilene Flaum Eye Institute (FEI) is a world leader
in preserving and restoring vision. Investigators at FEI conduct
research on interdisciplinary teams and come together to explore
cutting-edge treatment modalities. We aid patients suffering from
macular degeneration and other retinal disease, ocular surface
disease and corneal degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma, and
refractive problems.
“It is a great honor to lead our incredible team of
physicians and researchers at FEI—the only eye
institute in the region, and also our area’s leader
in specialty eye care. Every day, we pioneer new
diagnostics and treatments to help preserve vision
for patients in and around Rochester, and we are
committed to providing patients state-of-the-art eye
care for common and complex vision problems.”

“I’ve always been interested in the science of vision
and know personally the transformative power of
improved sight. I take pride in being part of
something that has a positive impact on so many lives.”
