The University of Rochester Gospel Choir will present "Gospelfest 2003!" at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, in the Interfaith Chapel on the University's River Campus.
The program for the concert will include "In the Midst of It All" by Yolanda Adams, "You Blessed Me!" by John P. Kee, "Soon as I Get Home" by Thomas Whitfield, and Sam Cooke's "Jesus, Be a Fence." Begun in 1977, the 35-member student ensemble will perform its 27th annual "Gospelfest" under the direction of founder Rev. Alan Parris III.
The University of Rochester's Gospel Choir performs both on campus and in the community, including concerts at local churches and other colleges. This year, the choir participated in "Gospelfest" at Rochester Institute of Technology and will be performing at Raymond Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, March 2.
