The Friends of the University of Rochester Libraries will hold its annual holiday reading at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the Great Hall of Rush Rhees Library on the River Campus.

The evening includes a reception at 5:30 p.m. and entertainment by actors Sonya Raimi and Jim Scholes of the Geriactors, a local group, and by the Cant e Sonar Early Music Group, featuring Colleen Liggett, soprano, and Deborah Fox, lute.

Readings will be given by Jim Memmott, senior editor and writer at the Democrat and Chronicle and adjunct assistant professor of English at the University; Sarah Higley, associate professor of English; and students from the University's Debate Union.

The Friends' holiday event has grown into a popular yearly tradition. The program is free and open to the community. For information and reservations, call (585) 275-4461.
