Note: Parking is available on University lots after 7 p.m. weeknights.
The University of Rochester Yellowjackets, an all-male a cappella group, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.
Titled "Acappocaplypse Now," the concert will include selections from different musical genres as well as standards from the group's repertoire such as "Only the Good Die Young," "Happier," and "Up the Ladder."
Featured guest performers are the University of Connecticut Chordials.
Tickets for "Acappocaplypse Now" are $7 for the general public and $5 for University of Rochester students. They are available in advance at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus and at the door.
The Yellowjackets have been performing as an ensemble since 1956 and will be releasing the group's 13th album this spring. The current eight members plan an East Coast tour during spring break, appearing at high schools, University alumni events, and other functions.
