Note: Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus. Parking is free on University lots on weekends.
The Black Students’ Union at the University of Rochester will present the Pan-African Exposition at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.
Titled “Turning the Pages: History of Black Identity,” the program traces a progressive history from slavery to today’s African American. Each stage, starting with African kingdoms, will reflect a significant portion of African-American history and culture and will be performed through song, dance, and poetry or prose.
