EVENT: Concert featuring the University of Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Glee Clubs

TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 8 p.m. Saturday, April 22, in the Alexander Palestra in the Robert B. Goergen Athletic Center on the University's River Campus

ADMISSION: Free and open to the public

The University of Rochester Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the University's Glee Clubs and the Houghton College Choir in a performance of Johannes Brahms's Requiem. The soloists will include soprano Darla Mattern and bass Munenori Sugitani, graduate students in the University's Eastman School of Music.

The orchestra will also perform Vieuxtemps's Fifth Violin Concerto, which will feature junior Bjorn Buschan, the winner of this year's Concerto Competition for River Campus musicians. The University's Symphony Orchestra is in its 51st year and is comprised of 100 students, faculty, staff, and community members.
