EVENT: Plutzik Reading Series hosts novelist Anthony Giardina

Author and playwright Anthony Giardina has produced plays in New York at the Manhattan Theatre Club and Playwrights Horizons, and at many of the major regional theaters in the United States. His fourth and most recent novel, White Guys, was published in 2006 by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux. Additionally, he is the author of the novels Men With Debts, A Boy's Pretensions, and Recent History, as well as the story collection The Country of Marriage.

Giardina, who has held teaching positions at Mount Holyoke College and at the University of Texas at Austin, is visiting assistant professor at the University of Rochester for the 2007-08 year. He lives in Northampton, Mass.

The Plutzik Reading Series was started in 1962 in honor of the poet and University of Rochester faculty member Hyam Plutzik to offer the Rochester community readings by the finest contemporary literary artists.
