James Pryor, assistant professor of philosophy at Harvard University, will speak on "Closure and Externalism about Content" at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10, in Dewey Hall 2110-D on the University of Rochester River Campus.

The colloquium, sponsored by the Department of Philosophy, is free and open to the public.

Pryor will also visit philosophy professor Richard Feldman's undergraduate course, "Theory of Knowledge." He will discuss one of his most recent papers, "The Skeptic and the Dogmatist," with the members of the class.

Pryor recently received his doctorate in philosophy from Princeton University. He has written articles in epistemology, the philosophy of mind, and other related issues in metaphysics.
