One of the Rochester area's largest marketplaces for book buyers will return to the University of Rochester's River Campus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23 and 24. The Rochester Book Sale, now in its 31st year, is free and open to the public.
The landmark Rush Rhees Library will be the site of this year's sale sponsored by the Friends of the University of Rochester Libraries. The public is invited to browse and buy previously owned books from romance novels and classics to children's books and mysteries. A "bag sale" will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Parking is free and available on campus.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the University libraries, which are ranked among the top national and international research libraries.
