Business done better at URochester
With four University of Rochester degrees to her name—including a recent MBA from the Simon Business School—Jennifer Dunivent ’00N, ’04N (MS), ’08S (MS), ’25S (MBA) embodies lifelong learning and purpose-driven leadership.
A first-generation college graduate who arrived on campus sight unseen with a duffel bag and a scholarship, Dunivent built a career defined by grit, curiosity, and service. She has worked at the bedside in the NICU and pediatric emergency department, led hospital operations, entered the startup world, and founded her own consulting company. Today, she is vice president of client engagement and operations at a startup health insurance company—where she blends analytical rigor with authentic, people-first leadership.
In conversation with Simon MBA student and fellow first-generation trailblazer Jasmine Moreira, Dunivent reflects on seizing opportunities (“I pay attention to open doors”), the power of mentorship, and showing up fully in new environments.
