
College freshmen meet Rochester on #WilsonDay14
The incoming freshmen class will discover what Rochester has to offer and explore the many ways to get involved in their surrounding neighborhood during the 26th annual Wilson Day on Thursday, Aug. 28. Over 1,350 students will garden, paint, meet with senior citizens, help organize school supplies, and learn more about their new community.

Effecting change, one Urban Fellow at a time
Mayor Lovely Warren will recognize the Urban Fellows for their work in a variety of service projects, from marketing health programs and planning events for youth to fostering community and connecting businesses with vacant storefronts.

Student network praised as model of community leadership
Noted by Washington Monthly and the National Clearinghouse for Leadership Programs, the Rochester Center for Community Leadership (RCCL) encourages involvement in service, political activities, and social and cultural life in and around Rochester.
EVENT: Rochester Students Honored for Civic Engagement
Students from the Rochester Urban Fellows summer program will be honored, as will area college graduates who participated in the Rochester Youth Year program.
