Whether utilizing the University of Rochester IRB as the reviewing IRB for multi-site studies or relying on an external IRB for your IRB review, planning and preparation are key to an efficient review process. We will discuss some overall concepts and requirements when using the SIRB process, as well as key considerations when preparing protocols and consent documents. We will also discuss some updates to our local processes to improve efficiency and reduce time to approval.
