Susan David Limberg received the Archdiocese of
Washington’s first annual teacher of the year award last March. Susan
is chair of the foreign language department at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory
School in Washington, D.C. . . . Howard Stern
was appointed chief executive officer of Federal Solutions Group in McLean,
Va.
1971
William Savino is a coauthor of the commercial
law section of the Syracuse Law Review, an annual survey of the developments
in New York State law. William is a senior partner and chairman of the business
litigation and insolvency department of the Buffalo law firm Damon & Morey.
1972
John Kessel, director of the creative writing
program at North Carolina State University, led two panel discussions at this
year’s North Carolina Literary Festival. . . . Stuart
Schneider is the author of Collecting Fluorescent Minerals,
his 17th book.
1974
Cory Amron was named Woman Lawyer of the Year by the Women’s Bar Association
of the District of Columbia. Cory was recognized for her contributions to the
Women’s Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the legal profession.
1975
Alan Dutton joined the faculty of the University
of Texas at San Antonio as an associate professor of earth and environmental
sciences. He and his wife, Shirley Peterson Dutton, who
met at Rochester as freshmen, celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary this
year. . . . Dennis Hennigan (see ’82). .
. . Stephen Hoffman ’76S (MBA), CEO of Element
K, was profiled in the Rochester Business Journal in January. . . .
Robin Jacobson writes, “Through the ‘miracle
of modern technology,’ I have the pleasure of being able to share with

. . . Michael Lax has been appointed to the board
of directors of Phase III Medical. Michael is president and CEO of Autronic
Plastics. . . . Barry Mattes, “attorney
and musician,” writes that he is “defending several individuals
accused of murder in the Cook County, Ill., judicial system. I was interviewed
by the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune. I’m
recording an album of original blues songs with Dion Payton and the 43rd Street
Blues Band.”
1976
Robert Cali received the Presidential Rank Award
of Meritorious Executive last September. Robert is the counsel for the Naval
facilities engineering command.
1977
Ronald Spadafora was named superintendent of the
Oneida (N.Y.) City School District. He had been deputy superintendent for four
years.
